Playing with a delicious dinner; because playing with your food is much less messy using light.
I'm not sure the atmospheric conditions which led to such dramatic light-rays during the sunset but it was quite the incredible view and I am happy the camera got some. I suspected this could have been the result of significant dust in the air as I recall.
I remember riding through Denver on I-25 as a boy and the area that now surrounds the statue was gritty factories of Broadway (the Gates Rubber Factory!) and Sante Fe but there was this massive yellow staircase. This day I drove around to find its base, now in the quite unusual for the area Denver Design District. The statue was created by Herbert Bayer and is a larger replica of one he built for the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.
Quest Diagnostics has quite the fashionable building in the Design District...
